The last Rear mid engine / rear wheel drive car released by Ferrari is the beatiful 488 GTB.
The new Ferrari 488 GTB is the successor of the glorius Ferrari 458 and she still has a V8 engine but this time the engine isn’t N/A but it is twin turbocharged.The new engine is a 3,902 cc (238 cu in) all-aluminium dry sump unit of the F154 engine family turbocharged with two parallel ball-bearing turbocharghers.This new Ferrari 488GTB engine produces 670 PS (493 kW) at 8000 rpm and 760 N·m (561 lb·ft) of torque at 3000 rpm. This results in a specific power output of 126.3 kW (171.7 PS) per litre and specific torque output of 194.8 N·m (144 lbf·ft) per litre, both records for a Ferrari road car.
The transmission of the Ferrari 488 GTB (the only one available) is an automatic dual clutch 7-speed F1 gearbox.
The Ferrari 488 GTB performance are:
- 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.0 seconds,
- 0–200 km/h (120 mph) in 8.3 seconds,
- 1/4 miles in 10.45 seconds and continuing to a top speed
- 330 km/h (205 mph) top speed

L’ultima vettura a motore/trazione posteriore rilasciata da Ferrari è la bellissima 488 GTB.
La nuova Ferrari 488 GTB è il modello che sostituisce la gloriosa Ferrari 458 ed è spinta da un motore sempre ad otto cilindri ma sovralimentato, da due turbocompressori.
Il nuovo propulsore è un’unita da 3902 cc interamente in alluminio a carter secco a doppia sovralimentazione.
La potenza raggiunta è di 670 cavalli ad 8000 giri/min con una coppia motrice pari a 760 Nm (76 kgm) a 3000 giri/min e di conseguenza si ottengono dei valori specifici di 171,7 cv/litro e una coppia di 194.8 Nm/litro che rappresentano entrambi il nuovo record dei motori stradali Ferrari.
la trasmissione della Ferrari 488 GTB (l’unica disponibile) è una trasmissione a 7 rapporti e doppia frizione.
Le performance della Ferrari 488 GTB si riassumono in:
- 0/100 km/h in 3.0 secondi,
- 0/200 km/h in 8.3 secondi,
- quarto di miglio in 10.45 secondi,
- velocità massima pari a 330 km/h.
