Hello!
This is my second project about the amazing Lotus 49.
I created some studio shoots and a short animation and This was the first automotive test/project using Blender and It has been very fun working on it!
Blender is an amazing piece of software and Cycles a very good render engine.
The Lotus 49 is an amazing racing machine built by Lotus on 1967 and during his racing life this car won two formula 1 constructor and driver championships.
This car was powered by the famous DFV Cosworth engine, a powerful V8 engine capable of 400bhp.
The 3d car model is by Squir (http://squir.com/
), i’ve modified it improving the mesh and adding some details with Blender 2.79.
The Renders have been made with blender 2.79 / Cycles and the Postproduction with Photoshop CS5.
The animation has been made with blender 2.79 / Cycles and the Postproduction/compositing with After Effect CS5.
The “Lotus” and “Lotus 49” brands and logo are property of “Lotus” (http://www.lotuscars.com/)

Questo e’ il mio secondo progetto riguardo la magnifica Lotus 49.
Ho realizzato alcuni rendering studio e una breve animazione.
Questo era il mio primo progetto/test automotive per testare Blender in questo campo e devo dire che e’ stato molto divertente lavorare con questo software.
Blender e’ un software davvero maturo e completo e Cycles un ottimo motore di rendering.
La Lotus 49 e’ una magnifica auto da corsa costruita da Lotus nel 1967 e durante la sua carriera agonistica ha vinto ben due titoli costruttori di F1 e un campionato piloti.
L’auto era mossa dal potente e famoso DFV Cosworth, un motore V8 capace di 400 cavalli.
Il modello 3d dell’auto e’ di Squir (http://squir.com/), modello al quale ho modificato e ridefinito la mesh e apportato alcune modifiche / aggiunta dettagli con Blender 2.79.
I render sono stati realizzati con Blender 2.79 / Cycles e la postproduzione con Photoshop CS5.
L’animazione e’ stata realizzata con Blender 2.79 / Cycles e la postproduzione/compositing con After Effect CS5.
